Appears Magento is competing with OScommerce for the Open Source ecommerce platform. It looks better, but I’ve deployed neither. I’m mostly fascinated how client services have truly created start-up business models based upon OS software.
Hey Ted. Yeah it’s fascinating eh…there’s even cool stuff going on in the SME ERP space with Compiere which are kinda doing for ERP what Sugar is doing for CRM. I once thought it would be a good idea to start a Compiere consultancy down under…but a few years working in and around SAP and I was cured of any desire to work on ERP projects :)
