I wanted to add a prominent link to Climatecrisis.net from the top right corner of my blog, so I had a mate create the little banner you can see there now (RSS readers click through). It’s a tiny contribution to progressing public consciousness about climate change, but if you want to do the same you can…
Just copy and paste this code into your site to display the banner in the top right corner of your site:
This code will just float the banner into position and shouldn’t mess with anything else.
If you have a really busy site you might consider hosting the image yourself. Just right click and save the image from my site, upload it to your server and update the code to reflect the new location of the image.
UPDATE: If you do use this badge drop me a comment.

I have a small financial stake in the company which has the Australasian manufacturing rights for this technology…so bring it on.

Here’s a New Zealand company doing very cool things in the way of interactive applications for the Ski industry. They’re getting all sorts of kudos for their work but I havn’t heard the local media talking about them much at all…which is odd considering

We had Luke from Epic out for a Friday afternoon beer tasting week before last…bloody good stuff it is too. Luke was telling us about his mission to get Epic on Diggnation so I was stoked to to catch the June 7th episode this morning and sure enough there’s Kevin and Alex drinking Epic.
Luke had to call in all sorts of favors to fly a six pack up to SF and have it delivered right to the Digg HQ, all the while hoping it didn’t get consumed in transit. I figure that deserves a mention…

So I’ve been playing with Facebook…mostly, it has to be said, to try and understand this Apps thing they have going on with 3rd party developers able to build tools for Facebook users. Very intriguing.
So it is that I added the Flickr app to my Facebook profile. As part of this you have to give them your Flickr ID. Fine…except I couldn’t get it to work, until, as a last ditch effort, I tried my old skool Flickr name (from before they made everyone use Yahoo! accounts), and whaddiya know it worked. Weird eh?! I have to login to Flickr now with my Yahoo! ID, but Facebook groks my old skool ID.
Any readers on Facebook?

My friend Mike just joined the no hair club…although he is only an honorary member because as you can see he is otherwise quite well appointed in the hair department.
Nice photoshopping :)

With wit, smarts and hope, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH ultimately brings home Gore’s persuasive argument that we can no longer afford to view global warming as a political issue – rather, it is the biggest moral challenges facing our global civilization.
I just got done watching An Inconvenient Truth (IMDB), which came out in August last year. It’s been on my must watch list for a while and I’m glad I finally made the time. It is a great film and I’m feeling kinda stunned and wondering what to do next. Why havn’t I been bailed up by more people to talk about it before?

We also watched Who Killed the Electric Car (IMDB) last weekend, which is not as strong a movie, but is also very interesting. Damn I wish I could get me one of the GM EV1’s for my daily 45min commute to and from work. Unfortunately I’ve got about as much chance of getting one of those (given they’ve all been destroyed) as I have of getting one of these bad boys.

We can but dream.
