An Inconvenient Truth

With wit, smarts and hope, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH ultimately brings home Gore’s persuasive argument that we can no longer afford to view global warming as a political issue – rather, it is the biggest moral challenges facing our global civilization.

I just got done watching An Inconvenient Truth (IMDB), which came out in August last year. It’s been on my must watch list for a while and I’m glad I finally made the time. It is a great film and I’m feeling kinda stunned and wondering what to do next. Why havn’t I been bailed up by more people to talk about it before?

We also watched Who Killed the Electric Car (IMDB) last weekend, which is not as strong a movie, but is also very interesting. Damn I wish I could get me one of the GM EV1’s for my daily 45min commute to and from work. Unfortunately I’ve got about as much chance of getting one of those (given they’ve all been destroyed) as I have of getting one of these bad boys.

We can but dream.

Oh it’s been on my list for a while too, good to know that it lives upto the hype. Did you buy it or is it available to rent now?

I have no idea what type of car that is, but oooh, shiny!

Hey dude, we had it in our Fatso.co.nz queue so I assume it is available to rent. Definitely worth a watch.

That car is an electric sports car from Tesla Motors…100% electric and it can do 0-100km in under 4secs baby! They are taking orders now for delivery in the US sometime soon…no doubt all of Hollywood will be driving them :)
