Lustworthy
Dude, I am so getting me an iPhone when they finally make it to Asia (apparently sometime in 2008). Surely it will be possible to buy an unlocked version.

TITLE UNDERSTANDING THE IMPACT OF WINE TOURISM ON FUTURE WINE PURCHASING BEHAVIOUR: WINE TOURISM EXPERIENCES AND FUTURE BEHAVIOUR
Feedburner the big deal for 2007?
I might have already told this story, but I like it when authoritative sources make me sound smart, so I’m telling it again…
Way back around 2003 (when I was living in Houston) a valley VC firm contacted me and we had a telecon all about the “RSS space”. At the time my site, feedroll.com (since sold), was definitely one of the bigger free RSS syndication services around. They contacted me on the pretence of wanting to know where I was going with feedroll, but really they were just fishing for info and trying to learn about “the space” (shiver). RSS already had lots of momentum, but the money was still trying to figure out what it all meant. For my part I was probably (unnecessarily) star struck or something and spent most of the conversation fumbling to articulate myself…
Anywho, one thing I did tell them was that Feedburner was going to be huge, and that would be a good place to start if they wanted to invest in RSS…fast forward to Cringley’s 2007 predictions, and Feedburner get this boost:
12) Some smart or lucky company will buy FeedBurner, which ought to be the YouTube or Skype equivalent for 2007. Yahoo really needs it and ought to buy, but being without a brain or a required sense of urgency Yahoo may miss the opportunity. Google ought to buy it but may not because Google has a similar service in beta that probably won’t succeed. But SOME company will buy FeedBurner and start printing money as a result.
Wow, that’s a pretty big call. Putting aside my ‘told you so’ moment (even though it’s yet to be truly proven), this is cool. Eric, Dick, and the guys over there have built something truly amazing and deserve all their success. Credit to them for having the vision.
