Tagalyzer.com

27 August 2006 | 0 Comments

Anyone out there want to take over Tagalyzer and try to make something of it? If you’ve got a good idea how to make it work I’d love to hear it. At this stage it is just sitting there competely bereft of any traffic or attention.

Mobile news feeds

Dave Winer is excited about mobile news and has set up a plain text river of news for the NY Times, suitable for accessing on your mobile phone. Cool.

Maybe I should roll out waproll.com again (except without the wap). Back in 2003 waproll sucked in RSS feeds and converted them to navigable wap ‘decks’, which worked nicely and provided access to about 150 popular news/blog feeds. I used to read the news on my old T610 riding the number 16 bus into downtown Houston, but I ended up shuttering the service when WINKsite came along. While there’s more ‘usability overhead’ involved in accessing a WINK account, the additional functionality made it worthwhile.

It has always amazed me that mobile news apps havn’t been more buzzed.

Hitwise on del.icio.us

This Hitwise analysis of del.icio.us traffic data is quite interesting, but the last sentence is a bit of a clanger…

This is not quite the MySpace crowd that I expected to find – intead Del.icio.us users are a more sophisticated breed of web power user.

What, in the history of del.icio.us, would make anyone expect it’s user base to be a “Myspace crowd”?

World famous in New Zealand

Cool, Delivr has been mentioned on TV for the second time.

First time was by Amber MacArthur of TechTV fame, and then again last week on TV3′s Nightline show where they do a weekly round up of handy sites.

Delivr got mentioned along with a few others as a good eCard resource. I didn’t actually see it but I noticed the traffic spike and the evidence is on their website aswell (you can view the video). Nice.

Domains I’ve registered

I’ve registered a lot of domains in my time, and many of them have (in hindsight) been really bad.

For my own reference heres a list of the domains I plan to maintain for the time being.
