Jason Calacanis turns up the heat on Technorati by offering a pretty resonable prize pool for a better list of the most influential 500 bloggers.

The blogosphere is fizzing about Flickr Explore!...and rightly so, it is super cool.

A while back Jason De Fillippo whipped up something so he could add an "email this" link to his Flickr photos...I have been trying to find the post where he layed it out so I could send him this link to his pix on Delivr...nice they are too.

I am posting this here because I figure Jason's bound to be tracking links to his own blog via Technorati (where he works).

Stoked to get a link to Delivr today from the Flickr Blog, and sure enough they sent a bunch of traffic over to check it out. Since the Contagious Media Showdown finished the site has been getting <50 visitors on a normal day, and today we've had 500+...nice.

Only problem is that the Flickr Search API is currently unavailable...You can still access the most recent photo stream and look up your own photos, but the search function is presently a non starter...oh well, thems the breaks.

UPDATE: Flickr is working on a long term solution to the over taxed search function, but in the meantime all text searches have been disabled. The folks at Flickr have always been very responsive so I have no doubt they will be now also...suppose I should add a note about this to Delivr.

UPDATE2: Coolio...the Flickr search API is rocking again, which means Delivr is fully operational again.
